What a nightmare getting out of The Presidio's Crissy Field prior to a fizzled 4th of July colored cloud show.

After enduring the 20-25 MPH sustained winds at our church picnic, it wrapped-up at 4PM; nevertheless, I began to retrace what had been a mile-and-a-half trek after disembarking public transit. 

However, SFMTA had redirected all of the bus lines--after urging everyone to take public transit--to only get just under 2-miles of Crissy field; So, my 2nd $30.00 cab ride of the day ensued, and I watched the fireworks on TV.

Alright, do not want to bore everyone, but fireworks returning next year to the Embarcadero will be a welcomed site. 

Meanwhile, while it took almost two-days for the local TV repeaters to file a report on that debacle, checkout what they were dealing with in SoCal:

I know Newport beach is a community--not just the beach--but was surprised they have up to half as many police officers as the 150-short Oakland PD?

Still Totally Blowing it: This Time Not Drunk Pelosi Makes Headlines Again


In the future, I would just avoid Napa; they lure people there with farm-to-table 5-star restaurants, overpriced concert events such as BottleRock, and non-stop wine tasting pours.

Then, police stakeout the few highways leading back to the more populated parts of the Bay Area, and it is tyranny on the highway time: arrests resulting in the doubling of insurance, expensive cars seized, freedom to travel decades-ago becoming a misnomer.

At Least We Exercised Our Rights to Express Ourselves on Independence Day 

Anyhow, after all of the proclamations from local elected officials, fire chiefs, and law enforcement that there will be zero-tolerance for any kind of fireworks, it was great to watch live coverage of them being set off everywhere! 

. . . of course, in urban area streets and parking lots--not dry brushland or national forests, okay?

I do not know what is up with all of these street takeovers and shootings at FIFA Cup watch parties, but I will not even bother to link to them; whereas, tonight the USA v Belgium having had just wrapped-up, get ready for more civil unrest:

Finally, I can get some local news--instead of the repeaters being assigned to watch parties.
