[MAY 5, 2025 (10:15 AM PDT)] Last night, it was announced that Trump ordered the US Bureau of Prison to prepare to house prisoners at Alcatraz. Closed in 1963 by then Attorney General, Robert F Kennedy, the facility was deemed too dilapidated and expensive to maintain; seriously, as someone who took the tour a few years-ago, the idea sounds like a money-pit for many of the reasons outlined in the several articles read this morning.  CNN: US BUREAU HEAD TO EXECUTE ORDER TO REOPEN ALCATRAZ On Monday, the US Bureau of Prisons Director William K.
