Fire broke-out at 10:30 AM PST in the area where I spent six-years of my childhood; my Father, Willard S Davis Jr, was at the height (1965-1971) of his 20+ year TV career buying a home in what was referred to as "The Polo Fields." The subdivision which bumped-up-to the Riviera Country Club--led-to Will Rodgers State Park and Will Rodgers State Beach--West on Sunset where Brentwood gives way to Pacific Palisades.

In other words, Rodgers sold or developed our upper-middle-class post-war neighborhood which was NOT the Brentwood Heights of OJ/Judy Garland neighborhood fame just off 405.

However, if you wanted to Trick-or-treat or sell Cub Scout Scout-a-Rama tickets, Judy Garland's maid would answer the bell at the gate and kickdown this once 7-year-old $5.00.

I even played a quick 10-min basketball shoot-out in LA Laker, Jerry West's driveway, with my classmate, West's son!
