Just a quick check-in on a story I meant to get to the other day.

USNI News: Navy Could Sideline 17 Support Ships Due to Manpower Issues

Once again, this is one of those stories which demonstrates our military is stretched-to-short and feels like we are purposefully being set-up for a fall.

Why do I say this?

Look at some of the phraseology within the story referring to the program as "The Great Reset."

The new effort, known informally as “the great reset” has yet to be adopted by the Navy and is awaiting approval from Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Lisa Franchetti, USNI News understands.

The Military Sealift Command operates a fleet of logistics ships that refuel and resupply the Navy’s ships around the world and are crewed by 5,500 civilians who are employed by the Navy.

I just find this timing when the world is on the brink of war in no fewer than 3-theaters; remember the Key Bridge collapse trapping 4 USN heavy lift ships to transport armor and artillery?
